Orosa:
The Orosa Family: A Legacy of Heritage and Excellence
The Orosa family comes from Taal, Batangas, where Guillermo, Basilio, and Santiago Orosa were born in the mid-1800s. Guillermo’s son, Simplicio, later moved to Bauan, while Basilio’s family spread across Taal, nearby provinces, and even farther. In 2002, we learned about Orosas in Camarines Sur. Though DNA testing showed no blood relation, their story adds to our journey.
Today, there are nearly 1,000 Orosa descendants living all over the world, from the Philippines to the U.S., Australia, and beyond. This website is here to share our history, keep us connected, and learn more about our roots. Explore our family tree to see how we’re all connected.

Batangas:
Batangas, a province in the Calabarzon region of Luzon, holds a special place in Philippine history and culture. It is the ancestral home of the Orosa family, with roots tracing back to Guillermo and Basilio Orosa, born in Taal, Batangas
The province is also famous for its picturesque landscapes, including the Taal Volcano and Lake, as well as its rich coffee tradition, notably the “kapeng barako.” Batangas embodies the essence of Filipino heritage, blending natural beauty with historical significance.
